Immigration – Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK
If you have legally lived in the UK for a certain amount of time you can apply for permission to settle permanently in the UK. This is knows as ’Indefinite leave to remain’.

- People who entered the UK on a spousal visa (or civil partner or unmarried and same sex partner visa) whose relationship ended due to domestic violence
- People who entered on a 2 year spousal, civil partner, fiancé or unmarried and same sex partner visa
- People granted 5 years leave to remain as a refugee
